When traveling....
Bring your own hair products, like gel and what not. Especially if you have curly/unmanageable hair. The straiteners and hair dryers are amazing here, don't worry about that. But my hair does weird things if I don't use Garnier or Tresemé products... which they don't carry in Spain.
Bring all of your medicine with you, Tylenol, Ibuprofen, Advil, whatever... because if you get it sent in a care package it'll get stuck in Madrid for a week because they think you're smuggling in Heroine.
-- or if all else fails just use FedEx or UPS, whatever is international, because they don't check stuff.
Bring more rather than less. I've been buying really pointless things just because I tried to pack super light for this trip. BIG MISTAKE. BIG. HUGE!
I have no club clothes and very few nice outfits... which I need for our Erotic night... HA!
Oh I can't wait for this weekend.
Keep track of the Euro-Dollar rate. It changes daily and weekends are higher than others. So when you go to an ATM or exchange money, weekdays, mainly Wednesday's are the best days.
When someone says "oh, say that again" ... odds are you're saying it wrong. If they 'like' your accent, they'll listen to you but with a smile trying to figure out where you're from.
They love American's, but only if you buy something.
When I bought gifts for the 6 pack today, the woman was super nice, gave me a great discount and told me she's always wanted to go to "Floor-EEEE- Dahhh" but there are too many hurricanes. I told her Georgia is great... :)
Today has been fun. We're doing an event again tonight, I'm pretty sure it's the Olive Oil tasting!! YES!! :)
Time to be a chunker.
