For those of you hanging on my every word, so sorry I haven't written in two days.
A lot has happened, and it's been wonderful :)
Granada is in full swing of the festival/celebration known as "Corpus Cristi" Google it. ;)
On wednesday the Feria started and some friends and I went to that. It was really fun! We rode this huge Ferris Wheel and we could see all of Granada from the very top! It was so awesome! Then, everyone else rode some horrible dangerous contraption, and I was not about to take part in that. (I'm not a big roller coaster person)
We spent a good three hours over there and made it back to the bust stop around 1:00am. We waited and waited for the number we needed, and it never came. So we hopped on the next bus and just got off where we recognized something. Everyone started walking back and we could see all the festival lights everywhere in celebration of Corpus Cristi. They're really beautiful.
The reason I don't have a good picture up is this.
The second I whip out my camera and get the lights into focus, which took approximately two minutes, I took aim and clicked the button. The second that I clicked the button to take the picture, the lights clicked off. ONLY THOSE! The rest were up, but the pretty ones, the ones I was dying to take a picture of, click, just turned off... Terrible.
Anyway we headed back to our designated apartments, and seeing as how we all live fairly close to each other no one had to walk alone.
H, one of the guys on the trip was drunk out of his mind and doing very stupid things... I don't think he's used to alcohol... Light weight. Two grande cervezas and no food will do that to a person though.
The next day at school sucked because I had only gotten about five hours of sleep. That afternoon though, I started reading Fifty Shades of Grey... kept me away, lemme tell you.
After I finished the book, yes in ONE day, I called my friends and told them I needed to go out. The book leaves you with so much angst, I had to leave!
So we went out for a night out of Tapas and Drinks, typical Spaniard living, and met some pretty great people, all servers and waiters, but hey, they were still pretty awesome.
So we had a few drinks, I started feeling pretty, and then M wanted to go home. As we walk back to my apartment I keep talking about the amazing book that is Fifty, and M was intrigued. Of course, I let her borrow it. She told me the next day that she'd finished it. Nice ;)
I'm now enveloped in that world and it's kind of taking over my life.
Today we're heading to the beach and going out to talk to Spaniards.
I'm excited. :)
<3
Buenos dias
