¿Que significa 'untidy'? Was the question of the day in the English class that I taught.
I realize now, while I'm writing in English, that I've forgotten how to spell English things, not that I was that great at it before, and I'm also losing my ability to remember colloquial expressions, such as "beating a dead horse", and how it's not the same as "kicking a dead horse". Same idea... just a little different.
Anyway, today was my first day as an intern at "Colegio Virgen de Gracia" and it was fantastic.
I sat in on a Science class that is taught in both Spanish and English, in a bilingual school, which is what I REALLY want to do with my life.
If I can't live in Spain or some foreign country, then I want to just be a regular teacher at a bilingual school, or teach Spanish to some kids in America, or be an ESOL teacher...
Gaw I have options don't I?!
Anyway, the class went great.
The kids couldn't really grasp the concept of my name because the way we pronounce "Megan" in English sounds similar to how they say "My name" in a Spanish accent speaking English.
It was pretty hysterical when I say "Megan", and they said "Yes, My name. What is you're name?!" .... yeah that one took a minute.
So, first day was productive, and it was with 5th graders.
Tonight we went to get Indian food to celebrate K's religious Hindu holiday. That was eeeepiccccccly delish.
Tomorrow I have a full day of school, but Thursday I'm back at my internship. :)
It's great! I love it. I'm super excited about it.
I'm going to try to volunteer too just to spend more time with the kids! GAW it's fantastic.
I'm as happy as a bird with a french fry.

Buenas Noches.
