Last Day In Spain... for now.

Continuation of yesterday.

Soccer team came by, epic.

After they passed we ran to follow the bus for a little while, then Dr.M came and got us and directed us to the party. HECK YES!
We started walking down one of the main roads and to say there were a lot of people would be an understatement. I'm still really not sure how the team made it through on their bus. There were so many people in the road it was hard to walk through. It was like Black Friday crowds on crack. And every time the announcer said "Campeones" everyone would chime in and do their songs and what not. It was really quite a spectacle.

After a good hour of cheering along with the Spanish people of Madrid we decided to head out before the crowd got riled up.

We headed back to the hotel and watched the whole thing on TV. The team gave speeches about how they couldn't have done this all without their country, and their fans... Whatever brah, you did it all on your own.

They were really cool though. They seem like just a big group of guys who may or may not be gay for each other depending on the circumstances. For real though.
But they're still awesome.

After the whole thing ended on TV we headed out to find somewhere to eat... and landed at an all you can eat restaurant... how American.

So we ate copious amounts of Spanish food, it was really good, and lots of fruit, because Spaniards loooove fruit. As do I, so it was perf.

After that we headed home to crash like we'd run a marathon. It was really nice to be laying back down.

So yesterday we went to a Carpet making place... or like Tapestry making place... I honestly can't remember the technical term... sue me.
But we saw a bunch of women hand weaving huge rugs, like HUGE! They were longer than 6 feet for sure. It was really cool to see how much work goes into these when I'm sure there's a machine that would do it for them in half the time. But these people work 14 hour days every day in order to finish a tapestry in 6 months or so. It was really interesting to see how they know when to change colors to add more detail. It was like watching a painter create a masterpiece... but it was a rug...?

After that we hopped on the Metro and make it back. We went around to go shopping. C bought a 79E Jersey... no gracias. I'm still trying to find those nice African men with all of the Jerseys... I might just have to suck it up and spend 40E on a Casillas... why are they so expensive?! WHY?!

When we finished our shopping adventures we headed back to the hotel to make sure we were at lunch, which was pretty delish. I really haven't been upset with any food here, other than Sardines and Croquetas. I'm just not a fan of those at all...
Some of the fruit has been really iffy though, like Watermelon is always a coin toss here.

When lunch was over we went back to the Hotel and slept for a good three hours, got ready and headed out to a Flamenco show called "Carmen"

I'm pretty sure it was about a prostitute who fell in love with an Army guy and his solider. But I couldn't really tell... And I learned I'm not a huge Flamenco fan... or maybe the show just wasn't as well put together as I would have liked... Everyone else loved it, but I was being critical I guess. Idk, the band was great, and they could all dance... I just didn't totally feel it as much as I would have liked to I guess. Meh whatever. It was free.

After that we went to dinner and had a wonderful time making fun of everyone and telling stupid jokes. It was pretty interesting.
We told some pretty inappropriate jokes, which I later felt bad for because our Professors daughter was there, who's 15, and no one was really watching their language... but whatever, it's nothing I wouldn't have said in front of my brother.

Then we came home and had a nail painting party.

FUN! NIGHT!
