Shall I begin like David Copperfield... I am born?
Shall I tell you about my last 24 hours in Spain? Sure why not?!
We did the regular, let's go get dinner and go shopping and everything... it was cool.
After dinner we all went out to party to celebrate Mine and T's last night here in Madrid. (so we thought)
We went to find a 7 level discoteca which is supposed to be pretty legit, but when we got there found out it was only open Thursday-Saturday... yesterday was Wednesday...
So we headed back to the bar right across from the hotel to at least get a drink to celebrate.
Low and behold, said bar becomes a discoteca after a certain hour. And! And! And! HOTTIE FROM THE RESTAURANT IN MADRID WAS THERE! AHHHH
AND THE CROWD GOES WILD!
I had a few guys come talk to me, but honestly I was only interested in him.
After our first drink A handed me half a shot of Vodka... and the night began.
During our wild dancing night I noticed C dancing with Hottie, and didn't think much of it, but 5 seconds later he kissed her and she didn't do anything to stop it! WHAT?! M saw and immediately suggested Tequila, which I was cool with, because I just wanted to be away from the scene.
After 2 shots of Tequila in my system I was feeling BRAVE. C came up to talk and I screamed "F you, why did you kiss him?!" and ran away like a five year old and danced by myself in the middle of the dance floor.
M and T joined me and we got the attention of every guy in the club, because we were dancing like a bunch of lesb-os haha. It was great!
Then Hottie McHotters came up and danced behind me and M said "he's HERE!" so i turned around, looked at him, and we danced. Then he shoved his tongue down my throat and the rest was history.
Didn't hook up, though he offered my hotel room, his house, and the bathroom... really romantic brah. Really romantic.
Mind you this comensed at 2ish am... and at 5:30 my friends came and got me saying "GIRL YOU HAVE TO BE AT THE AIRPORT IN TWO HOURS!"
... yeah
buzz kill.
But I got back to my room, shared some info with my friends online, and got my stuff ready to leave.
At 7:45 I met T in the lobby to leave for the airport and we headed out.
When we got there we accepted our buddy passes and headed to our gates... to find out both planes had been over booked and we were not allowed to leave.
All we wanted to do was to get away from everyone in our group.
It's a small group, so it's really impossible to get away from people that you don't want to see... REALLY IMPOSSIBLE.
And now, after saying out goodbye's we had to come back and see them all again.
Now T, M, and I are all hanging out because we are the only ones really getting along...
We're about to head out to go to our goodbye dinner, and tomorrow I'm leaving, hopefully for good. I'm really ready to be out of here.
Really.
Hopefully my next post will be from Atlanta, or from a plane. :)

Buenas Noches
I'm a college student, spending 7 months in Spain. I'll be studying, traveling, and enjoying everything. Thanks to the internet you are free to live vicariously though a twenty year old during her hectic travels and new life experiences. If you know me, you also have a chance to see me grow up a little... maybe.

For now.
This is probably going to be my last post from Spain!! Well, for now at least.
I'm leaving tomorrow at 11:00 to head back to the states! I'm kind of sad that it'll be the fifth of July rather than the 4th. It's all good though.
I am leaving a day earlier than everyone else just because of my buddy pass situation. Everyone is going out tonight to party just because we don't have anything planned tomorrow... I'm still debating on going because yes I do have a 9 hour flight where I can sleep everything off, but I also don't want to be miserable stuck in a coach seat and hung over sitting beside a bunch of kids.
So tonight I'm not sure how up to going out I am... I don't want to be a shut in really, but I also don't really want to go out clubbing.. I'm just not really in the mood too.
Honestly, I might be a little depressed to go home.
I'm ready to get away from my group, so I'm ready to leave, but I don't want to say goodbye to Spain.
Everyone else is saying they're sad too, but I honestly think it's different.
Spain has really become a place that I feel more at home in than in my own house. Granted yes, I miss my family, and that will always be my home, but at the same time, it's not really my same room, it's not really my same living environment. I've become an independent young adult.
I'll always consider the place where my parent's live a home... but right now Spain is my home. I've grown accustomed to the meal schedule, the life style, and the environment... I'm still not up to par with fashion, but that's even how I am in the states.
I don't want to leave, but I'm ready to be home...
Really ready.
Like for privacy, and my own space.
For my mom and dad and brother.
I'm ready to see my pets and friends.
People who know me for me.
People who won't judge the way I talk, or how I act.
People who understand me already.
New friends are great, but not when they are fake.
... Hey Tswift... I got a new lyric for you.
I'm ready to see my besties.
Ready to see my family.
Ready to be back in Atlanta.

Last Day In Spain... for now.
Continuation of yesterday.
Soccer team came by, epic.
After they passed we ran to follow the bus for a little while, then Dr.M came and got us and directed us to the party. HECK YES!
We started walking down one of the main roads and to say there were a lot of people would be an understatement. I'm still really not sure how the team made it through on their bus. There were so many people in the road it was hard to walk through. It was like Black Friday crowds on crack. And every time the announcer said "Campeones" everyone would chime in and do their songs and what not. It was really quite a spectacle.
After a good hour of cheering along with the Spanish people of Madrid we decided to head out before the crowd got riled up.
We headed back to the hotel and watched the whole thing on TV. The team gave speeches about how they couldn't have done this all without their country, and their fans... Whatever brah, you did it all on your own.
They were really cool though. They seem like just a big group of guys who may or may not be gay for each other depending on the circumstances. For real though.
But they're still awesome.
After the whole thing ended on TV we headed out to find somewhere to eat... and landed at an all you can eat restaurant... how American.
So we ate copious amounts of Spanish food, it was really good, and lots of fruit, because Spaniards loooove fruit. As do I, so it was perf.
After that we headed home to crash like we'd run a marathon. It was really nice to be laying back down.
So yesterday we went to a Carpet making place... or like Tapestry making place... I honestly can't remember the technical term... sue me.
But we saw a bunch of women hand weaving huge rugs, like HUGE! They were longer than 6 feet for sure. It was really cool to see how much work goes into these when I'm sure there's a machine that would do it for them in half the time. But these people work 14 hour days every day in order to finish a tapestry in 6 months or so. It was really interesting to see how they know when to change colors to add more detail. It was like watching a painter create a masterpiece... but it was a rug...?
After that we hopped on the Metro and make it back. We went around to go shopping. C bought a 79E Jersey... no gracias. I'm still trying to find those nice African men with all of the Jerseys... I might just have to suck it up and spend 40E on a Casillas... why are they so expensive?! WHY?!
When we finished our shopping adventures we headed back to the hotel to make sure we were at lunch, which was pretty delish. I really haven't been upset with any food here, other than Sardines and Croquetas. I'm just not a fan of those at all...
Some of the fruit has been really iffy though, like Watermelon is always a coin toss here.
When lunch was over we went back to the Hotel and slept for a good three hours, got ready and headed out to a Flamenco show called "Carmen"
I'm pretty sure it was about a prostitute who fell in love with an Army guy and his solider. But I couldn't really tell... And I learned I'm not a huge Flamenco fan... or maybe the show just wasn't as well put together as I would have liked... Everyone else loved it, but I was being critical I guess. Idk, the band was great, and they could all dance... I just didn't totally feel it as much as I would have liked to I guess. Meh whatever. It was free.
After that we went to dinner and had a wonderful time making fun of everyone and telling stupid jokes. It was pretty interesting.
We told some pretty inappropriate jokes, which I later felt bad for because our Professors daughter was there, who's 15, and no one was really watching their language... but whatever, it's nothing I wouldn't have said in front of my brother.
Then we came home and had a nail painting party.
FUN! NIGHT!

Madrid, two days left.
It's weird that tomorrow is the fourth of July and I'm here... not being able to celebrate it. But apparently we're going to some club tomorrow... where I'll be the sober friend... promise.
So yesterday we got to Madrid and had a great time. When we got here they were setting up for a Eurocup party, celebrating the amazing team that is España. :)
There were concerts and all kinds of things going on. It was awesome. It looked kind of like Lakewood, but European? I guess?
After a good siesta and a yummy lunch we headed into the street to see the team drive by on a double decker bus.
We got there around 7:00ish, and waited until about 8:30 until finally the team came by. Before the team got there though an ambulance came by, which got everyone excited because there were sirens, ergo, there was a team near... logical, but no, someone was probably dying, and we were cheering them on... The second time some dumb-ass decided to start cheering, getting everyone cheering, and almost stampeding... I felt like Simba trapped in the ravine waiting for Mufasa.
So when the team finally made a grand appearance everyone went CRAZY! Like, you would have though a fire broke out or something. It was LOCO! They were not driving near as slowly as I would have liked though. The second I saw Torres' extremely large thigh I was lost, gone, on some weird plane that only fan-girls live on. It was better than meeting Gavin Degraw... that's saying something brah.
So the bus started driving by, I was holding up my camera, shaking way too badly to take a good picture, as seen on my facebook... and during a moment of sheer amazement I looked up from my camera and low and behold Fernando Llorente made eye contact with me. All I could see were two beautiful blue eyes separated by a beautifully sculpted nose staring right into mine. I was lost for about .5 seconds, but it felt like an eternity.
As the bus drove by I took notice of who else was there, then I saw Casillas, and lost it again... Dear God. What. A. Beautiful. Team.
Nail Painting party is comencing... I'll write more tomorrow. :)

Dinner.

My internal struggle.
I forgot some important things.
On the train ride to Madrid I had a mild panic attack.
I really don't do well with emotions... have you seen the Kristen Bell video about the sloth? I'm kind of like that, if I'm not between a 3 and a 7 on the emotional scale, I'm hyperventilating...
So on the way here, after I woke up from my nap, I looked out the window and saw beautiful mountains, and it reminded me of Granada. Then I realized I wouldn't be back there for quite some time... then I realized I was no longer in Sevilla either, which I might not ever get to go to again. Then I realized we were going to Madrid, which meant I'd be going home soon, and I wouldn't be in this amazing country again for a while.
I almost cried.
I've fallen in love with this country, again.
I don't want to leave. My heart literally clenches up every time I think about leaving. It's similar to how I imagine Edward feeling when he said goodbye to Bella in New Moon, or when Allie says goodbye to Noah in The Notebook at the house, or when Elena says bye to Damon in The Vampire Diaries... mind you all of these couples are reunited at some point... I'm still pulling for Delena.
But seriously, I don't want to leave.
As much as I really want to go home and see my family, I'd be perfectly content staying for another month...
I really do miss my family though.
But Spain! Spain is here. It's where my heart is it's fullest, it's where my thoughts are carefree, it's a place where stress can not survive. It's a place where lovers are born and fighters are changed into caretakers. It's a place where beer is considered water, and bread is considered a fruit. It's a place where olives are their own food group, where showers aren't mandatory. It's a place where shoes come above all, and bra's aren't totally needed. It's a place where men don't play games, where women aren't intimidating. It's a place where rainbows and unicorns are from... It's a magical place. It's a wonderful heavenly place.
I'm going to live here one day.
I really am.
... But for right now, as much as I am in love with Spain desperately and hopelessly... I really do miss my family, and I'd like to see them, and take a small vacation before heading back into this school mode I've been in.
I don't want to leave though...
Ugh.
It's conflicting.
I miss it already.

Muy Triste.
Last night was epic, epic beyond epic.
I'm really starting to think that I'm Spain's good luck charm. They won the world cup when I was here, and won the Eurocup while I was here... Jeeze, I wish I were here for the olympics! No hay tres sin quatro!!
We didn't do much last night, I sort of just slept off the excitement, and recuperated from the day before... still working all of that out.
But we left Sevilla this morning, and made it to Madrid.
The team is here, right now. They just landed at the airport. They're probably within feet of me, maybe blocks, whatever. We're in a nice hotel brah, they're close.
They're going to do a parade like thing in the middle of the city, which I'm totes going to. They drive through Madrid in a bus, with the cup in their hands and the crowd goes wild. ARM, M and I intend on running after the bus. Oh, DR.R's daughter showed up. She's awesome, and she likes TVD... so I approve.
We took a bullet train to get here. I was expecting Harry Potter at first, which it wasn't. When I saw the train I expected Hunger Games... which again, it wasn't.
It was fairly similar to the trains I took in D.C. to get to the Mall... yeah, nothing special.
But it was quick, and easy, and we got to watch Puss in Boots in Spanish! :D
Amazing.
We just had a fantastic lunch at this restraunt right next to the hotel...everyone was sharing embarassing stories about what I'd done the night before, and what they'd done too...
I'm that girl right now.
Welp, lo que pasó en España, será en España.
I'm gonna go meet my future husband now.
